    Hi,

I am torn between a 06 Hyundai Santa Fe (74k miles) and 07 Kia (56k miles).

Hyundai has cloth interior, Kia has leather and better spec, both same price.

    Which would you go for?

    Thanks

Newer car, better spec and a lot more handsome. Kia all day long.

Is it an old model or new model Santa Fe as both were sold in 2006 and they are very different completely changed. It was mostly new models in 2006. If new model I'd go for the Santa Fe great car.

It's the newer model Santa fe, personally I think they look better than the Sorento.

Negotiating with the garage to get the timing belt done before buying so that may help make the decision

What fuel are they and engine size?

Had both at one stage or another

    Santa Fe - Tax 670 approx; 40mpg
    Sorento - Tax 1005 approx: 34mpg

Sorento much better for towing. The Santa Fe has a very very soft clutch and big money to replace. There is a prob with the dual mass flywheel for the Santa Fe.

Santa Fe is more car-like and comfortable but Sorento is better if you doing any towing or off-road driving

So If I had choice, I would go Santa Fe if just for driving but Sorento if it going to be worked.

Sister has Santa fe, I've a Sorento. And I wouldn't swap. In everyday driving, i find the Sorento very good on fuel as well, much better than my previous 4*4s.

Tax on the Santa Fe is €951 not €670
Tax on the sorento is €1080

    So not much difference there
