Virus help

    Right so was on the computer and this screen blocker pops up saying that the Garda have blocked my computer and a 100 quid release to reopen my computer
    So I rang the Garda and they said I'm the 12 caller today and its a virus and has nothing to do with them so to contact provider to send an anti virus out
    I'm with UPC is it them I contact?

    1.Start your computer in safe mode with command prompt.

    2. type rstrui.exe, and then press ENTER

    3. Choose a restore point from the day before.

    4. When your PC restarts download Malwarebytes (Free), leave the update box ticked.

    Run a scan.
