Looking to work Abroad

I'm a professional Driver, with a full HGV licence and a few years experience under my belt. Work in my area is scarce at the moment, and the job I have is having problem after problem after problem. So much so that it's affecting my family live.

I have a partner and two children and I am the main provider for the house. We've been thinking the ole 'there has to be more than this' mantra lately and I've been giving serious consideration to it.

I want to seriously look into working abroad, say NZ, Canada or Australia.I want to educate myself as to what possiblities (if any) are available to me and what I need to know.

Ultimately we would be looking to emigrate to somewhere else to try to give our kids a better start than we have here if you get me.

Clearly, my concerns are the responsibilities I have to my children so this isn't a decision I'd be making half assed.

Does anyone know where to start looking for information as far as this goes? I want to see what I can come up with.

    Thanks.

The areas you could research online or perhaps a phone call to the embassy are :

    working visa requirements and procedures

the larger employers in the area of interest that might be hiring

    recruitment agencies in those places

wage levels and housing costs in those areas

    Good Luck!

I would imagine there is the possibility of working at the mines in west Australia.
