    Name change on a Tapu

    Hi i was wondering could anyone help me. Myself and my X partner bought 2 appartments in Kusadasi Turkey.We have them both, in both of our names. We are split up now and want to put 1 name on each apartment. Can anyone tell us how we would go about this.

    I imagine you will need a solicitor with experience of the situation in Turkey.

    The embassy or chamber of commerce may be able to provide a list.

    And while you're there (and if you don't know already) I'd also clarify whether the apartments are lease hold or freehold. a few people have been stung in Turkey with finding out they didn't properly own the leasehold.
