    Hello,

Looking for an answer but i cannot find it,thanks in advance for any help !!

I've found few devices online that has this dual radio mode !

I'm trying to design a setup where i can accomplish something like this:

    - 2.4GHz band for WDS AP clients mode
    - 5GHz band for WDS bridge-to-bridge mode

Basically, using one band for access point-to-clients while reserving the other band for AP-to-AP repeater.

    Thanks.

The set up you have illustrated above is achievable as you have indicated using dual band radios. 5Ghz you will use as your backhaul and 2.4Ghz for your client devices as indicated.

The question is what type of network are you trying to achieve, i.e. is it a campus type, building to building or single building layout? What type of coverage and more importantly throughout are you trying to attain. You will also have to take in account what type of users will be sitting on your network. And do you want a managed,(hardware or software controller), a lot of questions but each are pertinent to a properly configured wireless LAN/WAN.

For SOHO I can name a few devices that will fit the illustration you have above at a reasonably cost, but if you are looking at enterprise type solutions I can also point you in the correct direction but obviously this comes at a premium price.

End of the day you need to take a look at what you are trying to achieve and then add some future proofing. A proper survey is always recommended if you are looking at medium to large scale deployments.

If you have any further queries, hopefully we can help you along on the thread.
