    Hey guys,

Just a quick question for those of you with experience - what's the most cost effective way to get from CdG to the seventh district of Paris? Flying over at the end of February for a short break having flown through CdG lots of times but having never visited the city before.

    Thanks!

If you've not got a lot of luggage, I'd take the RER train which is pretty cheap.

I vaguely remember there being a train station downstairs in CdG, how difficult is the rail network to navigate there? I'd imagine a taxi would be huge money? Thanks BB!

+1 RER, the station is in CDG. The main downtown station you'll get to is Gard du Nord but you can also get to Châtelet les Halles, St Michel/Nôtre Dame, Luxembourg, Port Royal, Denfert-Rochereau and Cité Universitaire. From one of those stations you're bound to be able to get a Metro to close to your ultimate destination.

Taxi would be quite a lot. Yup, the station is in/adjacent to the terminals, and I don't think it's all that difficult to navigate. Especially as you can Google Map everything before you go and know exactly where to get off! :D

Definitely take the train - taxi into Paris can be very expensive - I took a taxi nearly every Monday morning for about eight months to Puteaux and it cost between €50-€120

You can also get the bus. Last time I took the train there was a queue of about 30mins to get a ticket. No vending machines in sight and could'nt get on the train without the tickets.

Taxis in France are the most expensive in Europe apparently. French people would never dream (outside of Paris anyway) of getting a taxi after a night out, preferring to make other arrangements.
Go with the RER + metro. If you’ve ever taken a subway/tube before, you’ll be fine.

You can buy your train ticket online.

If you've ever used a subway before and can read where to get off or where to change then it's easy as
