Provisional Licence Out Of Date

    I have just returned from living in England and my second Irish Provisional licence is out of date since November 2008 i was just wondering do i have to sit the theory test again and start from scratch.

    If it is expired over 5 years you will have to re-sit the Theory Test.

    Sorry to hi-jack your thread CarrickBhoy (but no point making a new thread :) )

    I held a provisional license from 2008-2010. So what would I do next to get my license? Seeing as how its been less than 5 years I dont have to resit my TT?

    Just get the application form in the local garda station or motor tax office, fill it in and bring it to the tax office with 2 passport photos and your old permit
    (costs 15 euro i think)
