The interweb is all about the hassle with the mk II headlights - via the bumper or wheel arch. But what about a mark 3 (2010) coupe? Does anyone know if they simplified this money-maker or do you still have to dismantle the car to change a bulb?

Nope very easy to take out the whole headlight assembly on the Coupe version at least. Only two screws and a metal tab holding it in place. Have changed all the bulbs on my in minutes without any hassle!

I think the fog lights need the bumper to be removed but I've only used them a handful of times so not expecting to ever need to change them!

Still? you never had to do it in the first place on the MkII. There's no need to remove wheels, or bumper or anything other than a little plastic cover in the wheel arch liner. If you have small hands you can replace from under the bonnet, just reach in a replace the RH bulb, or take off the battery cover to get at the LH bulb.

As said, The bulbs on the Megane 2 are a 2 minute job needing the removal of only a small plastic panel.

The Megane 3 is very simple, as above, 2 x 10mm bolts and a metel clip and the whole unit slides forward to allow access to the bulbs.
