Best place for tubes?

Hi all. o/
My Supersonic is giving me trouble again and this just after already replacing some suspect tubes.
I've decided to just give the old girl a fresh set of tubes but I've just priced it on Thomann and it's looking like €229.20
Just me or is this a helluva lot?

If there are any tube specific site where I could save some money that'd be great.

Looking at:
6 12AX7WC (EH priced as they don't have any WCs) €71.4
2 12AT7 €29.8
2 6L6GC €128

WTF.....€229.

€128 for a pair of 6L6's.

Surely a quik look on eBay would save you a fortune. You could knok a ton of that price easily.

I don't like JJ valves, but they are cheap on eurotubes.com

I've never used Ebay before, I might have a try of that alright.

Yeah, I'm reluctend to use JJ's and the likes. If I'm going to give it a full retube I want to give it the best I can afford, €150/60 would have been ideal but I don't know. Cheapest I got from the sites above was about €210.

I'm thinking of selling it on now anyway so I might just go for a cheaper option to get it working, the new owner can get into the expensive stuff.

So that is that 8 pre amp's and 2 6L6 power valves?

That's the one, split channel pre amp and from what I can see most people stick to 12AT7 for two of the as apposed to 8 12AX7s.

If ordering from Watforfd Valves
Check with them if the price your given is VAT inclusive or pre Vat

Last time I ordered from them I got a shock to find an extra £50 in VAT on the invioce !
