    Hi,

The infamous FSU won't come out, I am not really built to remove those little things.
I need someone who did it before and can do it again.
Car is Coolmine, Dublin 15, no tax, no NCT, you would have to come down.

    Will pay for your time

Get in touch, I don't bite.

    Cheers

I didn't know what an FSU was and now that I've looked it up I find my own one needs replacing - I was wondering why the aircon fan was pulsating :)

They are to blame often indeed.
A real pita to remove and being over 6" tall does not help at all.

I wouldn't be small or slight of build myself, otherwise I'd see about dropping over to help - sorry :(

Is it worse, same or the easier than the e39 FSU?

Have you even tried to remove it? Doesn't look too difficult. Mine is gone as well but it is simple in an e36.

    More or less the same.

Yeah of course, spent 2 hours on the car...
The local garage failed as well today.

Which part are you getting stuck on? I would offer my assistance but I am a bit too far away.

Oh right cos I changed it on an e39 (and now my manhood is in question, thx! :p ). Pretty sure I got it loose on one side and just forced it on the other, breaking something in a minor, inconsequential way. I put the seat all the way back and was lying upside down (in a head rush sort of manner) to do it.

A better DIY on PDF is here if it helps.

Mine has been pulsating for quite a while now, but no other symptoms. Hopefully I'll manage to get it replaced soon enough before it becomes a bigger problem. Having done the expansion tank recently, that's my current budget allocated for the moment.
