I have a cable from my sky box feeding a bedroom upstairs in a house that i rent... my understanding of it,is that its send a voltage through the line and you can watch up stairs what is on downstairs...

The problem i have is that the volume is not coming through, the picture is perfect but the volume upstairs is all fuzzy, a kinda buzzy noise, the sky downstairs is perfect...

The cable could have very very poor shielding. Coax cable has a central wire with a surrounding insulation cover and then a braid of wires or film of metal covering that. Hence the term co-axial. If it's missing the outer layer or else is grossly inadequate, things like that could happen to your TV picture. If it's not even that kind of wire, it's a miracle the TV can pick up any signal!

Anyway what I've found to work the most is to re-tune the channels, and make sure that the sound options includes selection of PAL-I as the tuning region. Many TVs have the tuning region (can also be called sound system) option in the tuning menu itself. Then ensure that the TV is tuned in properly.
