Looking for info on 3d TVs

    I was in Harvey Normans today looking at 3d TVs and have decided I'm going to get one. I was actually quite proud of myself that I didnt walk out with one there and then as I have done with other items in the past, I'm quite impulsive like that sometimes! Anyway, I'm just looking for peoples opinions on which ones to go for, what features are available etc. I also would like to know what 3d stuff is out there, as in channels, blu ray discs etc. Can anything downloaded from internet be watched in 3d yet? I think I would like at least a 40 inch 3d smart tv, and dont want to spend more than say €800. Bigger screens even more desirable, so anything recommended please think of my absolute max as being €1000. Thanks!!
