Hey guys, is any body using Mixlr with Audio DJ 4? Im seriously struggling to get the correct configuration to enable me to broadcast, with out the sound feeling like its going thru the built-in mic on my MBP

Im using it with 1210's and Traktor Scratch and a Vestax midi controller.

    any ideas?

Phono from rec out on your mixer to audio in on your computer, that is if you are using the audio 4 for Traktor.

Are you using the midi controller as a mixer?

I think you might need to kind of loop the signal. Set the audio 4 as your sound output in your DJ s/w. Then use an audio lead from the output you want to record (mixer rec/booth out?) to the headphone jack on your MBP. Set the Mac's audio settings to use it's audio port as an input instead of an output.

This is what Mixlr have to say Link , which ive tried - but no success

The Simplest Solution :: Physically route your audio from input to output.

Whilst there are ways of internally routing this signal, this is dependent on a number of variables such as the capabilities of your audio interface and your operating system.

By far the simplest and most reliable solution is to physically route wires (in the above case stereo phono cables) from Output 1-2 to Input 1-2. This will give an input that the Mixlr application recognizes. You could also route from the output of the soundcard to the built-in input of your computer and select ‘Built-in Input’.

If you are using an audio interface with only two outputs such as the Traktor Audio 2 or similar (including the Hercules device used in this example) then you may want to split the master out for your monitors as well as the Mixlr input. This can be done using a simple stereo splitter adaptor, available from most audio stores.

Can anybody brake these paragraphs down for me? sorry for being silly but im just hitting a brick wall with this

You need to get audio from whatever your output source is to the audio in on your computer.

I don't really understand what way you have things setup.

You can route sound internally with traktor can't you? If so you can just point the signal to soundflower and use that. With serato I just put the signal back in with a simple 2 in 2 out usb soundcard
