I have a problem with a blocked bath.
I've used a plunger and harpic unblock with some success but it has not
    sorted the problem completely.
The problem is I cannot get at the U-bend as the bath is tiled so I have no access to it.
Also I cannot stick a rod down because where the water drains the chrome filter has relatively small holes where rods wouldn't fit.
Do these chrome filters come off?
whats the strongest unblocker I could use?
any other tips would be much appreciated.

You cant use anything too strong like caustic soda cause it will strip the chrome.

How long is the bath in.....I wonder if the waste was installed incorrectly and its flowing back.

    Can you take a photo

I used Dam buster on my sink and shower tray and it worked fine, get hold of a small funnel and stick it in the hole pour in some Dam buster and give it about 15 mins and it should do the trick. Dont go overboard on the Dam buster as its powerful stuff.

No you can't , if there is a screw in the middle don't try unscrewing it
