I caught it late last night out of curiosity, and for something new.

I quite liked it. I'm left wanting to see more at least which is a good thing. Being a David E. Kelly show, I had some preconceptions based on Ally McBeal and Boston Legal but, so far, it looks like I was wrong to have those preconceptions.

I have never really watched ER but it struck me as a show in that vein with some graphic OR scenes thrown in. There's also a bit of House thrown in for good measure thanks to the Korean brain surgeon. I find him highly entertaining and that's the character I see most of DEK's show style in.

The M&M scenes are great. Anyone who watched the trailer above knows what I mean. They really add to the show but I'm wondering if they're a bit of a gimmick that might get old quickly.

Ving Rhames hasn't really come to the fore just yet. I think his character may be a slow burner in storyline terms. My least favourite character so far is the Indian doctor with the crazy work ethic. She's annoying but I'll hold off on a judgement for now. The Korean 'House' and his United Nations 'cottages' looks to be very entertaining. It's interesting to see such an ethnically diverse bunch in a US show so I'm hoping there'll be some good storylines there.

All in all I find myself looking forward to the next episode of this. I always give a show 5-6 episodes to bed in and sell itself to me and this one has started off on a good footing for now I think. I just hope it keeps up the good work.

I'm pretty impressed with this show so far. I'm up to date on episodes. I reckon there must have been 7-8 so far now. It seems to have hit it's stride and it's becoming a show I look forward to each week. Dr. Park is great as the previous poster said but so is Ving Rhames character as well. I thought it might be a show that could get old fairly quick but it's performing strongly.
