How Often Do You Go Out?

How often do you go out, to pubs, clubs, etc?
I'm in my 30's and my social life has got rather stale to say the very least about it. There was a time I was out 2 nights pretty much every weekend and maybe movies or dinner during the week, I'm sure I also had far more of a disposable income at the time too.
I haven't been out for drinks in ages, one night before Christmas, go for dinner from time to time, and a very odd gig or show.
Is my life really boring?? (Contrast and compare!)

Not at all. If your life is boring, mine must be to. That can't be the case...

So, this is normal. Imagine the social life I'm not going to have in my 40's, can't wait for that excitement!

Excellent, you're a few years ahead of me, but I can't wait for you to share all the wisdom and excitement with me.
40 is the new 20, so it could be wild!

AH Answer: When they unlock the attic.
Real answer: Whenever I have the money, which is rare. I usually have to plan things in advance by about a week or two. :/

For those winding down there are others for whom it can only increase... my 40s are gonna be hectic

When you hit your 30s, it's not abotu what you do it;s abotu who you do it with. Kinda like sex. "Way too often" is the way, I believe, a wise woman once put it.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

    Out or Out OUT?

Never go to niteclubs anymore coz the ones in our town are crap unless you are on the pull.

Pub usually at least one night of the weekend. Generally a friday and a sunday night but this weekend it will prob be Fri and Sat as my mates have a girls nite out planned for Sat. Since am off the drink at the mo they will be a more sober affair for me.

Oh and I will also be 40 in September. Since I was about 16 I dont think I have sat in for more than 2 weeks in a row. Even when was pregnant would go out but obviously not drink.

I am a sociable person who luckily has a good group of friends so hitting the local for a night of laughs is usually on the cards.

Bring back the olden days when all men over that age spent the whole day in an old man's pub.

About 2-3 times a week. Spending too much money.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,938 ✭✭✭mackg

Last two weeks were two nights and out once a week since Christmas I'd say. First time having a bit of money in a while so might as well make the most of it.

Old man pubs are the new young man's pubs.

Oh my god, haven't heard the out or out out reference in so long, brings back....
I rarely go out any more, never mind out out.

After work pints on a Friday, mad one every 2 months or so. Rarely do dinner or cinema. The odd gig. But regular enough matches & pints before/during/after. Pints after playing a match... Maybe I've a problem :D

Switch to pints before. You can run them off over 90 minutes. Guilt free pints.

Was wondering if someone would pick up on that!

To a pub or club? Pretty much every weekend.

Other than that, go out for lunch or maybe to the cinema once or twice a week.

Well, in the case of my circle of friends going out didn't require much planning or advance notice, but going out out required an all day preparation session!

Would certainly make for interesting scrums

Dont go out much at all. Lost complete interest in the pub/club scene. Used to go out 2-3times a week up till about 4years ago.
Much rather going to someones house for a few beers or just chilling at home.

Last time i was in a pub was probably november

If you went for pre match pints would you actually make it to the match?

Cutting down at the minute, maybe once a fortnight for some food and a couple of drinks?

Think I maybe need to do something to improve my social life.

Go out in town once a month,at a push these days.

Late 20's now, friends who haven't emigrated are loved up so it's usually only when one of them is ''allowed'' out.Went through a phase of going out by myself over the summer, which was surprisingly okay ladies wise, but I just couldn't really be bothered making the effort anymore.

Might have a few pints on a Saturday afternoon in my local if I need to get out of the house for a while.

It's a proven fact that I'm a better rugby player after a few pints :) so I would show up. The ref mightn't like me tho!

Maybe once a month or so. I genuinely prefer sitting at home alone and having a couple of beers whilst watching tv.
