sky remote and tv problem

    Posted this in electrical but think this is a better forum.

    I set up my sky remote control and sky hd box to work on an old beko television but now when i press the tv guide button it changes the channel on the tv and i have to turn the sky box off and back on in order to see sky again. The tv model is beko 14212 and the remote is a rev 9. any help would be appreciated
