Holiday pay & shift allowance

    I work a compressed work week over 4 days and as such receive a shift allowance of 10% per month on top of my basic salary (2.5% per week)

    I took vacation for one week in December, my scheduled 4 day week.

    When I got my pay slip in January I see that I received a shift allowance of 7.5% for the month which appears to be for working on shift for 3 out of 4 weekends.

    The question I have is:
    Is your vacation pay only your basic salary for that week/month or should it include your basic pay plus shift as that is your regular work week?
