3rd party applying for Learners Permit in person

Does anyone know if it's possible to have a 3rd party bring an application for a learners permit in to the motor tax office for an applicant? My wife and I are both trying to sort out getting learners permit, we don't want to post in original documentation (I've had it lost before and don't want to take the chance) so I was wondering if I can just bring both of our applications in and do it that way.

    Thanks.

Yes you can. I brought in my sisters application about a year ago and never had a problem.

Since new licensing system came in I don't think this is possible. Don't think any licence applications are being processed through the motor tax offices as far as I know. Just try giving acall first may save a wasted trip.

I had a pupil pass yesterday. He was told by the tester to take his Cert of Competence, Learner Permit and Photots to the Tax Office who then apparently send it to the NDLS.
