Has anyone here ever done the following two charity events in the one year and if so what training was done in advance?

It would be appreciated if I can get some advice from cyclist who may have done both or one of these events in the one year

Most of us on here have done the ROK several times and many more equally and more challenging events year on year
The other event you mentioned I feel might only appeal to a small few as in my opinion duathlons arent too popular amongst road/mtb cyclists.

A more dedicated triathlon forum might get you a higher response.

As regards training for events like the Ring or any typical event of 100k or more without getting bogged down the advice would simply be ride your bike any chance you get and to incorporate as much climbing as possible.
Nothing beats miles and gradient in your legs......
