I really hope nothing happens this fireman who in my opinion should be rewarded!
Throwing a snowball at a firefighter is never a good idea as one teenager found out when his practical joke dramatically backfired.

Keen to impress his mates, the boy decided to target an emergency service worker aboard a boat in Leeds during Britain’s latest cold snap.

Standing on a bridge, the unidentified prankster lets fly with a snowball that hits the unsuspecting firefighter on his head.

Calmly picking up his hose, the firefighter hits back by directing a powerful burst of water at the cheeky youngsters who end up drenched.

The amateur footage, which shows watching members of the public in hysterics, has racked up over 50,000 hits on YouTube.

‘It’s all fun and games till you get blasted by a fireman,’ explained one amused user.

‘That fireman was cracking up the whole time,’ said another.

I pity the other poor people walking across that bridge!

Kid probably developed hypothermia. Let's hope so anyway :)

Fireman was a twat. He couldn't have seen who he was hitting with the water.

Safety of the kids is important too - here's hoping they got back home and hosed.

The fireman will be extremely lucky to avoid a formal reprimand and/or a civil case from some of the innocent people he assualted.

Yes, aiming a high pressure hose at someone is assault with a potentially deadly weapon.

oh come off it, the hose wasnt exactly blasting off their skin now was it?
The little feckers threw two snowballs at the fireman and he just wet them a little back no harm done

The pressure wasn't huge, he certainly wouldn't have injured anyone through the pressure

The pressure was barely enough to get a stream up that high. hardly deadly.

    Assault my arse.

Did you watch the video? you'd see stronger water coming out of garden hoses

Eh, if that guy driving the pick-up had not been watching the road so attentively and seen the guy stepping on to the road to avoid the water (and so then allowing room accordingly) could easily have been a nasty accident. Plus, Firemen get all the women and so I'm a little bitter about that too.

The little rat should be more careful about who he throws snowballs at in future.
