    Hi,
I got €200 worth of oil, there was water in the tank so it was emptied and now i have this sitting in seperate containers. Any way of seperating this and re-using the oil? The tank is filled via a fill pipe so i can't put it back in anyway without a pump of some sort, so if any one knows of any oil companies that could do it??

Contact the company who delivers your oil. They will have or know of someone who can sort you out. They all have special underground (interceptor) tanks that separate the two and as the need arises, send the almost clean oil back to Whitegate or similar refinery for preparation for reuse.

Most local authorities also have ways of dealing with this. Mostly its to have a service to deal with leaking tanks, but the same service could be used in your case. Try my first suggestion first.

If left undisturbed for a while the water will settle in the bottom of the containers and the oil can be siphoned off from the top, but you are in for costly repairs if you get that wrong. Best option is my first suggestion.

you can get calcium chloride dessicants for keeping fridges and wardrobes dry

yes it will remove a small amount of water after siphoning, but it may affect the oil, and you'd need to filter anyway , and there is the problem of what to do with the dessicant

how much does a boiler service cost ?

how much do boiler parts cost ?

Hi, thanks for replies, i emailed some oil companys but no luck. I can't put it back into my tank as it's sealed and filled via a fill pipe. I'll put it on adverts and see if i can sell it,

Perhaps some of the ad sites is a good way, but I would recommend phoning (emails too easily ignored) your oil company. They all have to have protocols in place in case a leak or split starts during a delivery. Also your tank should not be sealed so well as not to have a vent and also service person needs to be able to check for water, sludge etc..
