I tried to get on a course but you have to be on job seeker benefit for a year.
My question is do fas know how long I've been out of work or could I just try a different fas office and say I've been claiming for a year.

I would imagine their IT systems would be linked up and they would probably know.

The systems are linked, so when they check your eligibility and they will, you will show up as ineligible until the time passes.. :(
