    Hi all,
Myself, my wife and our two children are thinking of Albufeira for our hols in Sept this year.
We've never been and would like some advice.
Our smallies will be 18 months and 2 and a half when we get there so most of our days will involve getting them ready in the morn heading out for a walk with the buggy, lunch, another stroll around and back to apt for around 6 and bedtime.
We stayed in Vilamoura last year which was lovely but having been there we wanted to try somewhere a little different.
Is the old or new town a better fit for us?
We will be mostly walking around during the days while relaxing in the evening once the kids are in bed so nightlife isn't a factor for us unfortunately.
Also we would rather not hire a car while there.
Any advice or recommendations much appreciated.
    Thanks

stayed in the old town a few years ago in the Cerro Mar apartments - they had just opened a new section and were fab. am mid 20's and I thought the new town was very tacky and british so was glad we opted for the old town.
only thing about the old town and kids that may not suit you is there are alot of steps and hilly areas which isnt ideal with buggies.

Also stayed in Cerro Mar last year - the apartments are really nice and there is a large Lidl about a 10 min walk away.

Was also going to comment about the steps however - theres about 200 steps down to the town so you could possibly pick somewhere a little more child friendly.

The old town is much nicer than the new town.

Agree - old town is much nicer. There is an escalator down though or am I thinking of the wrong place. We have never been there with little ones but saw plenty of buggies around the restaurants etc.
