I get this pop up saying " create your own homepage in under 30 seconds".
I do not want to create a homepage. This happens in Google chrome.
I used to be able to X out of it but that doesn't work anymore.
How can I permanently get rid of this nuisance.
    Thanks.

    get this,
    http://www.srware.net/en/software_srware_iron_download.php
uses same browser render, engine as chrome, eg chronium looks similar, but sends no info to google,More private than chrome.
OR just uninstall chrome, download latest version.
Might be a good idea to run a full virus scan,
some programs,eg java, install toolbars, crapware,in the backround, when you do an update.
Chrome sends alot of info to google .
looks very similar to chrome, similar menus, options.
or look in options, change homepage, to google.ie ,or another website,eg boards ie
ONLY reason to use chrome is if you use certain chrome, browser apps, games etc

    Sounds like malware

download malwarebytes, update it run a quick scan

Also, install SRWare Iron as said above, its the same as chrome but without the privacy issues.
