Ino needed on upgrading crankset.

    Hi all,
    I have a 2011 Lapierre shaper with a tripe square taper and want to change to a compact 52/34 but Im unsure what to get as all crankset have a different offset also will I have to change the derailer...any info or links would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey,

    What rings have you on the front at the moment ? Why do you want a 52/34 most triples have a 52/36/30 or so,but anyways the front derailleur will work there is just a bit of work in setting up the front shifter to get it to pull the right amount of cable to shift up and down,from what I know all square taper bb's are the same,how many rings on the back cassette ? If you have 8 make sure you get a 8speed chainset and so on,

    Sorry Zippe I forgot I asked this question...I have the standard 28/38/48 but I want to move away from a square taper and go hollowtech compact...What would you suggest ??
