Old Sky Box Help

    Using an Old Sky Box (not +), picks up Channel 4 with no problems until there is a film on and then the following appears with no picture "insert Sky Card".
    Also happens for Channel 5.
    Only happens when there is a film on.
    Thoughts?

    Strange one,I use an old box for fta & never had a problem.I assume there is no card of any sort in it? If there is remove the card & plug the box out & in again.

    No card.
    Happened again tonight ITV 4 Barb Wire "Insert your Sky Viewing Card".
    ITV 2 & 3 perfect.
    Only happens for films from what I can see.

    if you are powering it down at night then leave it on overnight to see if does a software update.

    I wouldn't force it to do one unless you know for certain that there is a newer version of the firmware / EPG for that particular box

    the version is in the services menu
