Superquinn is extremely expensive imo, savings, if any, would be little to nothing.

When was the last time you shopped there? Prices are coming on par with other supermarkets. Not aldi cheap but tesco cheap all the same imo.

Probably 4 months since I had a proper shop there tbh.

Totally agree. Superquin is a rip off. This is hardly a bargain alert.

I actually think that if you shop smart you can get some good value in superquinn.

That combined with the fact that the garage I'd use this voucher in is good value anyway means it's worth it to me.

Overall I think SQ is more expensive, but tbh I think some things are better quality like the breads, fruit and veg, and some of the meats, deli etc. I have noticed things in Tesco and Dunnes which can be more expensive than SQ. So as was said already which is shop smart, and compare the prices of everything. It can be surprising how cheaper shops make back the savings on some items.

Superquinn is a little higher priced (and these days, only a very little) - but generally has much higher quality especially on meat, veg, bread and other perishables.

They also pack your bags, as opposed to the Dunnes near where I work where there could be 4 staff and 2 managers chatting away behind the till while you stand in front of them waiting to be served. Value isn't always the bottom line.

On top of the €10 off for a €40 spend voucher we have, this should make it well worth our while to do the weekly shop there this weekend.

    Thanks OP.

Check the t&c on your voucher; you may not be able to combine the two promotions...

€7.50 off with €80 purchase is a better than tesco where you have to spend €100 to get 10cent off per litre.

Since musgraves own superquinn a lot of items are cheaper so I suggest you check it out before claiming its a rip off.

Having shopped at Superquin many times I dont need to "check it out" ... perhaps you should shop around and check out other stores.

Really just sounds like you just love Superquin so much that you cant stand anyone saying anything negitive about it ... good for you ;)

You can say anything you like about it, just if your going to say something at least back it up. Its not the cheapest place for every item, but most items can be got for similar prices to tesco, lidl etc just depends what you get.

This thread isnt about getting everyone to shop there, its to let people know about the €7.50 they can get of the fuel if they want to or already shop there.

Just to update, I was able to use the €10 off voucher and got the 15c off a litre too as we bought €90.01 worth of stuff!

Their products are marginally more expensive than Tesco, but there is a lack of choice in some items and you can only choose the more expensive brand, where Tesco's have their own brand which is much cheaper.

Breads/Fruit/Meat etc is of a better quality too.

    AND CREAM CAKES ;)
