Has anyone stayed in Paleokastritsa, Corfu? We are thinking of spending 4 nights here, before going to Paxos for a few nights, and returning to Aghios Gordios. Whats Paleokastritsa like? Is it easy to walk from cove to cove (there are 6 I think). Are there nice restaurants there?

    Thanks :)

Went there on a day trip from San Stephano. It is very pretty, very crowded and the beach is very small. There are probably more coves around, we just went to the main one as we were not there for too long. The water is FREEZING there for whatever reason. This may not be the case in the other coves. For me it was good for a day trip but would not have liked to spend 3-4 days. Too busy.

Paleokastritsa is a beautiful place - it can get quite busy but there are lots of tavernas and restaurants to choose from. Try and get up to the monastery if you can. The views from there are spectacular!

Thanks very much for the replies :) We have booked 4 nights at the Apollon Hotel. Really looking forward to it.
