    Downloaded it yesterday.
First time i heard of the game.

But sweet Jesus it is a nightmare getting a foothold on the game.
There's so much to do. I literally have no clue what I'm meant to do. I basically land, last a minute before I'm dead again.
    It's mental.

It is different from most shooter games in that it is a persistent world shooter game. Like planetside. If you have experience in EvE online then the equipment and leveling would be familiar. From a newcomer side all you can do is read up on Dust 514 forums and sites get as much information as possible but most effective is playing the game and fiddling with the mechanics yourself and joining a corp and talking to senior players after a time you will appreciate the cost of equipment and value skillpoints. Its a tactical game to some extent. Give it time for full release there will be alot more coming taking evidence on how EVE online has grown all these years.

    Thanks.
I did some light reading on it and it seems like it could be an absolute brilliant game. But I need to find my bearings.
I've tried talking to squad members etc but it hasn't helped much.
I actually think most of them are likely me, they don't have a clue what to do.

I tried this a few nights ago and the game is good but it has one major drawback. When the round is over you go back to your pod and away from the players you were with. Once you join in again, it takes ages for a round to start with everyone mulling around in an area that reminds of of playstation home. That wore me out and I switched off.

You have to take this game with a open mind it had alot of emphasis on diverting from the usual shooter mechanics. Even weapon design is very "avant-garde". Being a persistent world it can't exactly create a rolling game sessions since each match would have permanent effects in theory. Maybe it will have a proper deathmatch mode at full release.

Right now EvE corps and Dust corp can merge. We can chat to EvE players in Dust and vice versa. Dust players cab take contracts from EvE world though that is still pretty minimal. What I have gathered is that one day EvE players can send orbital strikes from EvE into an ongoing Dust game, drop in turrets and other sytems aswell, battles occur on planet's and systems in the EvE universe, Dust players can be contracted to destroy or protect EvE assests. More details will come soon. Yes EvE is an amazing game. I remember trying the trial years ago it was amazing. Best mmo indeed.

just had a quick game of it there, very very similar to eve-online :D .

Plenty of skills to learn and fitting out the suits/ships should be fun.

Will give it a few hours of game time as its an FPS the qaulity of the gameplay will either break it or make it!
