    All LED's have terrible sound because the cases are so thin.

    Hanspree just have terrible everything else too.

    I think the LG's I've heard were better than the Samsung for sound. I don't feel the need to get a sound bar with the LG with the Samsung I do. Haven't heard a Hannspree outside of a shop, so can't comment on their SQ.

    You're right. A cheap telly, but really cheap sound. I use a set of pc speakers and it's problem solved for me.

    I'm very happy with the sound from my LG LED, iy seems to be a bit thicker at the bottom where the speakers are....much better than Samsung's that I've heard

    Really anyone thinking of buying an lcd/led tv should factor in the cost of external speakers with it. To rule out a tv because of sound is pointless as they all sound poor

    My Dad, who is the least audiophilic person you are ever likely to come across has one, and he even he says the sound is terrible

    I have a 42" LG LED (she be thin) and have never had a to turn sound up past 62.

    LGs are great.
