    Confirmed by the Beeb..
We can confirm that Doctor Who returns to BBC One during the Easter weekend on Saturday, 30 March, 2013.

The Doctor is back in a fantastic adventure written by the show’s lead writer and executive producer, Steven Moffat. The episode - the first in a run of 8 - is directed by Colm McCarthy whose previous credits include Hustle, Spooks and Endeavour.

Later adventures in the run include episodes written by Mark Gatiss (Victory of the Daleks, Night Terrors) and Neil Gaiman.

Steven Moffat has promised us that in terms of Doctor Who, 2013 will be a ‘tremendous’ year and we’ll be bringing you more about the forthcoming adventures soon. But if you can’t wait for the TARDIS to return on 30 March, you can take a brief look now at what’s in store for the Doctor, Clara and some familiar friends… and foes!

What date is Easter Saturday? That's been the launch date for a few years now.

    What did I tell ye?
Now to see if Moffat has written anything, canon or not canon, for Comic Relief again.

    This too shall pass.

6.10pm, according to the Radio Times

Edit: link contains episode title, so don't look if you want to avoid it

Apparently it is liable to change, but IMO by no more than 5 minutes

It wasn't that bad. Wasn't the best episode I've ever seen I'll give you that. I'm not a fan of a lot of the episodes that are set on earth. I dunno, they just don't seem to have me on the edge of my seat like a lot of the ones set on other planets. Also, anyone else noticed a distinct bit of 'deux ex machina' in a good deal of the episodes with Matt Smith with regard to the sonic screwdriver? I was watching some of the old Tom Baker episodes on utube a little while ago and it barely gets an airing from one episode to the next.

I'm liking Clara though, first impressions only of course.

I've thought similar since the reboot kicked off, but Matt's Doc uses it a lot. The Tardis has been used a lot in this way too. Back in the day, most of the time the Tardis showed up at the start and rarely got involved in the plot itself. I don't mind BTW, just noticed it.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
