    Hi folks
I'm looking to buy a bandsaw for cutting and shaping small pieces of hard wood (guitar necks). The budget is only about €200 so I figured a second hand one is best but if there is a new one that would do the job even better!
Can anyone recommend any models or places to look? (I've been looking on all the usual online seller sites like donedeal, adverts.ie, buyandsell and ebay.

    Cheers

    Try Mc Quillans Capel St.
Some of the lesser known brands are a good buy i.e Sip /Jet

its going to be very old and battered at that price. Try and get a 2 hp motor at least - you might stretch to changing the motor if you see a good but underpowered saw. ?

Good price but wonder is it a piece of sh*t?

:D Fox are an American cheapo cheapo brand. You get a 200 watt motor - enought to cut polystyrene or cardboard.! I love the safety switch promo which of course means you can never check the tracking of the blade while is the saw is running.
    Complete junk.
