I have completed this degree, if i can remember there was a fair bit of maths involved, 1st year was your average maths like you would have had in secondary . In the following semesters you have maths for cryptography/cryptography modules, little bit more complicated but definitely manageable, that comes from me who has pathetic at maths !

Its not the maths you would need to worry about, If you aren't familiar with programming i suggest you research java programming as you can need a logical enough mindset for that and this degree program contains programming right up until the day you leave!

If you stick at it and work, you will get through it no problem whatsoever!

Knew Nothing about the workings of them at all or had no interest in them and still don't have an interest in them to this day.

Re the maths etc, there is also a staff member on the 3rd floor dedicated to helping students with maths. Give it a go and if you don't like it you can always change as long as you dont leave too late into the semester
