Hi was wondering if anyone can help me. I am getting married in a civil ceremony at the end of the summer and am looking for three cheap flowergirl dresses for age 1, 2, and 3 years :)

I asked this before my wedding as well and I ended up using Roco Clothing for mine. UK company with free delivery to Ireland and prices for dresses are resonable enough.

Think a lot of people head to Debenhams.

Debenhams is crazy expensive. Looked there for our little madam and it was going to be over €100 for her outfit there.

Went to TK Maxx and got a nicer dress and a little bolero cardigan to go over it for €25.

We got ours in Debenhams. Personally I wouldn't buy them this early as kids can take a stretch and not fit what you buy them now, even if you leave plenty of room.

I got a gorgeous flowergirl dress in dunnes for €25. Just added a purple sash around the middle to compliment the bridesmaids!

Depends if you can shop in the sales. Got our little one a lovely flowergirl dress in debenhams for 18 euro in the jan sales, reduced from 60.

I am having trouble finding shoes to go with it though... So if anyone knows where I can get plain white childrens party shoes in a size 6, let me know.

I have tried dunnes, debenhams, pennys, clarks, pumpkin patch and and tesco. Plenty in silver, cream and navy, can't get the white. Saw a nice pair in BT, but I'm not prepared to spend 90 quid on them.

I think my daughter had that same dress for an aunty's wedding recently, lovely on her but didn't wash well at all!

I got it in March 2011 so prossibly not, this one stood up to washing pretty well too although think she's only worn it once since!

Ah, this one would have been bought last summer. It may just have been that it was stuck into too hot a wash cycle but it was certainly better value for money for something that was never going to get too many repeat wears anyway!

Thanks, but they don't have the size either in white.

Size 4, or 11 only (and how weird are toddler shoes with HEELS! I wouldn't put her in them)

Have you tried next? They have gorgeous ones for toddlers, I know we got our flowergirl hers there but not sure how much luck you'd have with white think most of them are ivory..

They have these in 6, is that not the sort of thing you want?

They have flowergirl section, did you just look in kids section?

I restricted the search to white.

Those would be lovely, and would be perfect, but they aren't in white. The dress is white, and I have bought and returned ivory shoes, cos I thought they would be fine, but they actually look wrong next to the dress. Bloody weddings... ivory and white and off-white and champagne. Sheesh!

Next is a good idea. I'll try there too.

Have you tried BHS? I think they deliver to Ireland, and they usually have wedding stuff at reasonable prices. Got one of my nieces some lovely shoes from there to go with her FG dress.

For the dresses, try Marks. I got my flowergirl dresses from there and they were reasonable. Think they cost £45 each. Another alternative is Next.

Wow, thanks a million for taking photos and uploading! Those would be great. I had seem them in tesco but they were not in her size. I can see in one of your photos a 6 on the rack though, so maybe my local tesco was out of stock on them. Will try more tescos!

Get the code for the shoes, and the size. Call Tesco Head Office and ask if they can send them down to your local store. They're usually very good and will do that for you.
