Just noticed that my dashboard is telling me about an impending service in a few miles. I'm a bit confused as to what the lights on the dash are telling me though. (see video)

When I put the key in turn the electrics on all of the lights come on - fine. Then all disappear except for things like <door open> & < handbrake>

but are the <check engine> light, <EPC> and <battery> supposed to stay on?

(the flashing wrench is service schedule reminder)

As soon as I start the engine (at 14 seconds in) all lights disappear as if normal.

just to be sure for myself... this isn't the car telling me it's sick is it? sorry if this is a stupid question. feel free to tell me if it is.

Possibly could be something up. Just checked mine turn on the ignition leave it for a few seconds and the most of the lights go off. Turn on the car and the engine management light goes out immediately.
Could be something to do with the pending service.
