Broadband/Tv connection

    Hi i have a broadband connection in a room in my house with 2 outputs from it (one connected to my router). i tried to connect a box from upstairs to the other output but cant get any signal..

    Any ideas how i can get this to work?

    any help appreciated

    Are you talking about a UPC wall box? The other connection is for FM radio, I believe there is a filter inside the wall box which ensures that no other signal gets out of that port other than FM stations between 88 and 108 Mhz.

    That's based on my setup which is kosher UPC (i.e. I've not interfered with the wiring). One port from the wall box is connected to a splitter/filter sitting on the ground behind my TV and which branches to Broadband and digital TV, the other port on the wall box is connected to my amp. for FM radio.

    yeah the box on the wall..had no idea one of the ports was for radio..must get a splitter so and have a go of the other port.cheers

    I got some new UPC literature today and it explicitly says that the other port is for FM radio only.
