Spartan Sub Wrestling Comp

    Hey guys

    We will be holding a sub wrestling comp in Spartan Training Centre on the Belgard Road in Tallaght on the 23rd and 24th of february

    Saturday will be the adult comp 18 + years of age

    Sunday we will run the kids and teens comp From ages 7-17 years of age

    this comp will be a round robin format with beginner intermediate and advanced levels

    Beginner under 1 year, inter under 3 and advanced over 3

    Cost of the comp will be 20 euro which you can pay on the day

    weigh ins are from 10.30 till 11.30

    Weight Catagories are sub 65 70 75 80 85 90 open

    Advanced will be under and over 80

    Yes still still is going ahead just need to confirm a new venue this week as the wrestling coaching course is booked for the same weekend.

    rules for leg locks are as follows

    Beginner no leg locks

    Inter Straight ankle lock only

    Advanced toe hole kneebar straight ankle lock

    The Venue for the competition has changed, we will be holding the competition in Firhouse Community College Sports Centre on the firhouse road

    It is close to the old mill pub and Speaker Connolly for people looking for landmarks

    would agree - went very well - good atmosphere - the round robin is great, everyone gets their fights - good level of competitors - more clubs should get involved
