This has gone beyond a joke.

Just one example below, a poor little baby with a deformed lip.

    3iX2z.png

Who needs to see this? What is the point?
If someone can genuinely explain what good this does, please do!

Call me selfish and horrible, but (with no disrespect intended) the last thing I want to see on my news feed is images of deformed babies. It's bad enough having to look at statuses from people in their mid-twenties that are still struggling with basic grammar.

I would say "I think it's time to get some new Facebook friends" but with 530,824 'Likes' - is there really anywhere to hide!

I blame Madonna and that damn song that kicked this whole damn thing off:

"One Like One Prayer, your mice can take me there".

Report the picture and delete the user. Disturbing content + I doubt the parents consented to the use of the picture.

Could you explain the thought process behind those questions that led you on to post a thread on boards.ie about it, further promoting that which you claim to despise?

Because from where I'm sitting, you seem to be part of the problem yourself!

    I have no life.

Ah not implying that but bar anything but spam I don't know how someone could rack that up in what, 2 weeks?

There must be some boards achievement for that! :D

    1. slacktivism

The act of participating in obviously pointless activities as an expedient alternative to actually expending effort to fix a problem.

    2. slacktivism

The search for the ultimate feel-good that derives from having come to society's rescue without having had to actually gets one's hands dirty or open one's wallet.

    3. slacktivism

One of those feel-good internet campaigns that doesn't actually help anybody or has political impact. It's your way of pretending to care while sitting on your butt in front of a computer playing WoW.

Also used for people who want to get a million people on their page by before bettering themselves or the world instead of just doing it.

When I see this amount of what I assume to be the general public 'Liking' this bullsh*t I wonder...that's all!

If you call this promotion, stay out of a career in marketing.

We already have a thread about Facebook updates, don't see a need for a separate one.

Mad Men's Don Draper : What you call love was invented by guys like me, to sell nylons.
