Has anyone done the MA in musicology in NUIM? Any thoughts on it? Good/bad?

Moved from Classical to NUI Maynooth.

Hope you don't mind, but I thought you might get more answers here. Good luck :)

I haven't done the course - but I did a BA in UCD in music - they actually have the only dedicated M.Mus degree in Ireland (masters in musicology as opposed to arts!) depending on your field of interest the musicology degree could be useful to you! I do know UCD specialise in Music Theory (Schenkerian, Micro-tonality and a few others) , Ethnomusicology (South Asia + Irish Folk + Others) and Musicology (Prof. Harry White is considered one of the founders of Musicology in ireland and works at UCD!) Hope thats some help - again it all depends on your field of interest - check out the lecturer bios of maynooth and it should give u a feel for what type of thing to expect in the course!
