Mould/ mildew on seats

My '02 323F 2.0 Sport has been off the road for over a year but it's been out in the open this winter. I had been starting and running it regularly until I lent the battery to a mate who dragged his feet giving it back. I swear there was a little spot of mould on the velour seats here and there but last week, a month after I last went near the car, the mould has taken off like wild fire.

Since the car is likely to stay off the road at least until spring/ summer, what course of action should I take? It would be difficult to get it to a valeter so can I sort it DIY? I'm very concerned about the health aspect to this too, btw.

    Dehumidifier?

Take the seats out and put them somewhere that is well ventilated after treating with an anti-mould treatment?
