Rental Question

    Hi Guys

Have just signed a rental agreement for a house in the city.

I had asked the letting agent 3 times if there was an open fire in the house when I visited the property.

I was told yes there is. I could not see this for myself as something was blocking the grate.

After signing the lease I went home and returned later on with my mother to show her the house. I uncovered the fire and found it to be a gas fire.

Can I get my deposit back as I was told the wrong information??

I know it seems like a small thing but I really wanted an open fire.
