Posting a bike within Ireland

    Hey,

    Did anyone here send a bike with fastway or gls or anyone ? Looking to get a price on line to send a bike I have for sale,I have a big box that my other bike came in so I could put it in that,it's a mtb and with box and packing will prob be 13/15 kg's

    Anyone have a idea ?

    I was curious myself about it. I wanted to get a frame from Dublin to Tipperary. Got redirect to anyvan and they quoted me 200euro:eek:

    Hey,

    From what I can see postplus.ie look to be the boys to talk to,I'll have to contact them tomorrow to make sure but looks like €20 will cover it,parcel2go won't take a box that big,

    Reckon unless your taking to other end of country it's cheaper to transport it yoursel in your own car

    You could also try Bus Eireann - I used them to move my bike from Derry to Dublin. Finding a taxi in Dublin to fit the bike into was a bit of an issue in the pissing rain - but it worked. As far as I remember the bus ticket for the bike was a tenner.

    I wonder did anyone use postplus.ie for a bike before ? I don't know if you can send stuff on the train now,I know you could years ago,

    Post plus are Fastway couriers. No issues with them
