    News breaking in US that Atari are facing bankrupcy & firesale of there assets.

    What :confused:
    So Atari of America has only really exsisted in name the last decade or so?

    I know they had alot of trouble over the years. Practually pushed out of the console market by Sony and Nintendo. But 40 people? That means Atari america wasnt even developing games.

    Apparently, there going to focus on Mobile Game development for Android and IOS devices. Less risk and less overheads I suppose.....

    Atari and US subsidairies file chapter 11
    Among the assets that Atari will be putting up for sale, include some of those legendary video games from the 80s such as Pong, Asteroids, Centipede, Missile Command, Battlezone, and Tempest. Other brands that Atari May sell off include Test Drive, Backyard Sports, and Humongous. Atari has shifted its business focus from traditional retail games to digital games and licensing with very popular games for Android and iOS devices. Atari also hopes to seek $5.25 million in debtor-in-possession financing.

    Serious collectors investing there i'd imagine..
