Along with its closure, their two atms at the restaurant and hub will be going too.

This really sucks, only 1 atm on campus now in spar which is obviously closed a lot of the time.

Makes it much harder for the registry to take payments for various things too.

Are Bank of Ireland not setting up in their place? I could be wrong but that's what I heard.

    I'd much rather BoI

AIB closes on 22nd March and BoI will open on 2nd of April. The 2 AIB ATMs will remain AIB until 2nd April. The BoI ATM installation date hasn't been announced yet.

As long as there's still more than one ATM on campus, I'm not too bothered.

Anybody have any idea how this will affect all the societies which have bank accounts with AIB?

I sent the treasurer of my society up to ask during the week to the C&S office. Their reply was that they hadn't thought about it yet but once they had decided they'd let the societies know.

The treasurer was asking if the societies would have to go to Santry for banking needs or if they'd be swapping over to BOI for convenience of being on campus.

Does anybody know how this will affect the rollout of the new debit cards? Will they be sent out before or after all accounts are moved to the Santry branch?
