Planning a trip to Malaga in 6 weeks, any course recommendations in the area for about 6 people?

Are you staying in Malaga? If you haven't booked, I'd suggest you move a bit more west. Not that it's that big an area - Malaga to Marbella is only an hour's drive - but you'll be closer to more options if you park yourself somewhere onwards from La Cala to Marbella.

Eight of us flew to Malaga last April, actually stayed in Puerto Banus. Courses we played were: Santana, Rio Real (both recommended) and Valle Romano & Marbella Golf & Country (both "so,so"). Enjoy. Might go further south next time, would love to play the 2 San Roque courses.

Santana & Rio Real are both good tracks, Finca Cortesin south of Banus is a cracker as is La Reserva and the San Roque courses are always worth playing. Keep going south and you can play Valderama, always a treat!!

    cheers

Nice tracks Peter but on the expensive side. Particularly Valderamma and Finca Cortesin

Yeah but think of the overall spend on the trip, perhaps treat oneself to one of the special ones on every visit!! A great reason to go back!!

One other thing, we always use "Elitegolfservices.com" - they can do the golf, accommodation, transfers (or car hire), very reliable; they are based in the area and do good deals. Wayne Burton is the guy we dealt with over the last few years. In our nice January weather, it's nice to have that to look forward to...

Golf Service in Marbella have a good service offering car hire (no queueing, they meet you in arrivals) and offer discount green fees on all courses in the area. You get a further discount on green fees if you book them at the same time.

I'm a happy customer over the past 8 years.
