As we are getting married abroad it is more economical to buy our suits. I am looking for recommendations for shops in Leinster which sell good quality formal suits at decent prices (buying 5 in total)

I cannot recommend any place in Leinster as I am not there although I also was faced with this question. Should I buy the 4 suits or hire them for a week?

For me the cost to hire is €120 per suit but you only pay for 3 suits because the groom is free to hire(most places do this) but it is €149 to buy a fairly "ok" suit which they can keep then like a gift of sorts.

I'm going down the buying route. You can head to the wedding fair in the RDS. Most of the good mens suit places will have a stand with suits for sale.(They did in Citywest anyway) and you can view and haggle to your hearts content.

Was going to buy our suits as well but renting works out a lot cheaper for me.
Reason being is size, I usually have to pay about 300+ for a suit because I'm 6'8" and has to be a German suit for leg length.
Even getting fitted for my brothers wedding we were limited to 2 colours because of the length of my arms, they didn't have grey suits with a long enough arm.

You could try Marks & Spencers, their quality is very nice for the money.

Yep M&S have good stuff. Or try Suitco in Blanchardstown. Based in the car park where Lidls and Next etc is.

    Hi Ali

We bought our in Moss in Liffey Valley, would definately recommend them. Got lovely suits for €199 and I think it was if you buy 4 you could get one free.
