Campagnolo tights question

    Hi

I am getting a new pair of tights this week but I cannot decide which ones to get.

I don't want a overly warm pair but a pair I can use in winter and spring.

They have great offers on Campagnolo tights on chain reaction but I cannot understand the difference between them. They have 4 different kinds on the website.

Does anyone know the differences or would recommend a particular pair.

    Thanks

    Hi Ballygowen1

Picked up a pair of Bobet thermal bib tights recently. These would be my first ever pair of tights. Managed 48 years without resorting to Lycra, don't know what's got into me in the last 6 months :)

What I can say is the quality seems very good, and whilst I've not attempted any long runs in them (or at all to be brutally honest) they are very comfortable for my frame. I've got the large and I'm 5'10", 33" waist, 31" inside leg.

The thermal properties seem well balanced when I've been out early morning lately. What I suspect you get with the more expensive Campagnolo ranges are more advanced textiles with different fabrics in various panel positions but the Bobet suits my needs and my budget.

    Hope this helps

Don't know those specific tights but I have similar LOOK ones and they are great for chilly spins, rarely too hot. I sometimes I put on non pad leggings with them if out in weather such as the last few evenings ie below about 2 oC
The fleece is a lot lighter that what you would get with a fleece hoodie or the like.
    I love mine anyway.

They vary from Lycra for spring summer to fleece for winter.
Some are 50/50 front/back with wind proofing. The detailed description on CRC should give you an indication of the weight.
