Adverse possession

    Evening all

If a share of commonage was fenced off about 45 years ago and a section of this land was reclaimed into grassland 10 years later can either of these portions of land be claimed as owned by the farmer using them under "adverse possession"? The title of the farmland would have changed hands several times in the 45 years since it was first fenced but it would always have remained in the family.

That would sound like adverse possession. Best talk to a solicitor for the nuances.
