Yesterday I was heading south on the M9 and spotted a fairly new white ford transit van with no markings at all pulling a chap over on the opp side of motorway. What was really strange was that the van had blue strobes behind the grille and red ones in the rear light cluster and yet I could see the camera setup in the back window! Maybe it was a Garda van but why would they pull you over if they've got a camera in the back!

Most likely the van was just trundling along when the Garda saw the other guy doing something else that was illegal, it doesn't have to be speeding. One possibility is the other guy was passing the van while holding a mobile phone.
